Photography sort of happened to me. I discovered old cameras in my father’s garage while still at school and from that day on, it has been my passion. Twelve years as a crime scene and police photographer took care of my formal training and vast experience in various disciplines.

Over the years I have worked in many photographic genres. I was also the first person in South Africa to manufacture studio strobes locally.

As a professional, I specialize in weddings, events, conceptual portraits, model portfolios and commercial photography.

I have the most beautiful flower pictures that my dad took in the mountains around the Cathedral Peak Hotel in the Drakensberg, his favorite playground as a young man.

In the featured shot, my dad is on the pier in Margate, busy taking his very last pictures ever at the age of 81. He passed away just 3 months later. In a way, it feels as if I am realizing his dream and I am doing it with pride.
