Capturing Love in the Snow: The Unforgettable Journey of Theuns and Kayla’s Wedding Photoshoot

Love stories come in all shapes and sizes, each one unique and beautiful in its own way. The tale of Theuns and Kayla is no exception, as their love led them to embark on an extraordinary adventure.

When they approached us to photograph their special day, we knew that this was not going to be an ordinary wedding. They had a dream of celebrating their love amidst a snow-covered landscape. There was a catch – this was South Africa, a country known for its warm climate and sunny days, hardly a place where you would expect snow.

Sonya and Ellias of Major Adventures took us on our journey up the historic Sani Pass, a mountain road that winds its way to the enchanting kingdom of Lesotho. The road was filled with twists, turns and “Oh my God” corners, but with each bend, excitement grew, knowing that we were on the path to something magical.

After the ascent, we finally reached a snowy wonderland high up in the mountain. Theuns and Kayla radiated as they stepped into the snow, their love for each other evident. As photographers, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect couple to work with. Their genuine connection and natural chemistry made our job a breeze, allowing us to capture their story authentically.

On top of the mountain, Theuns and Kayla shared a dance in a Basotho village, immersing themselves in the local culture. To top it off, they enjoyed a drink at the highest bar in Africa.

As we descended from the mountain, we took the opportunity to add color to the scene, using smoke bombs to create a few colorful pictures. Later that evening we concluded the session with a night shoot.

Theuns and Kayla knew no boundaries and no obstacle was too great to get the pictures they wanted. Their willingness to take a chance led to an unforgettable experience and a collection of images that tell a story of adventure and love.

In the end, it wasn’t just a wedding photoshoot in the snow – it was a journey that celebrated love and magic, even on a high peak in Africa.
